13 Million iPhones in 3 days!! The numbers might be shocking to you but it’s true.
The company has just announced that it has sold 13 million iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus in about its first weekend. The number is a huge uphill to the 10 million units last year, and 9 million units in 2013.
To give you a closer picture, Apple has sold 3,000 phones per minute, which is 50 devices in a second and the numbers are just increasing while you are reading this article. Though China weren’t the part of initial roll-out for iPhone 6 last year, this is still an enormous number. China holds the 2nd biggest market on this year iPhone’s sales after the United States.
Apple sales record didn’t break under the new iPhone upgrade program, which lets users to upgrade their phone for a new iPhone as 24-month payment plan service (which starts at $32 model for the lowest 6s device).
The demand for the new iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus is huge and the phones are still to be launched in many countries. The company has announced that the new iPhones will be available in 40 additional countries beginning Oct. 9, starting with Italy, Mexico, Spain, Russia and Taiwan – and will be available in 130 countries by the end of the year.
