Moto G 2015 Received Android 6.0.1 Update!

Moto G3 has received new Marshmallow update – Android 6.0.1 . The update brings essential security improvements to your device.

Note: Downgrading to previous version of the software is not possible after installing this update.

IMPROVEMENTS

Android Security: Consists the updates of Android security patches until 1st March, 2016.

Double Press Camera: Double pressing the power button launches camera for you now.

Camera shutter sound: Your shutter sound on/off switch is back again.

Stability Enhancements: Includes alteration that fix bugs and improve phone stability.

How-to

Please make sure your battery in your phone is at least  50% charged and connected to a WiFi network while you are installing this update. The update comes with the latest Match 2016 Security patch and has a  size of 371.4 MB

You will receive a notification message for this update:

  1. Select “Yes, I’m in”.
  2. The software will be downloaded, then select “Install now”.
  3. You software will be installed. After the software is installed, your phone will re-start automatically.
  4. Your phone is now updated.

If you haven’t received a notification message, you can do this manually

  1. Go to Settings on your phone.
  2. Select “About Phone” option.
  3. Select “System Updates”.
  4. Select “Yes, I’m in”.
  5. The software will be downloaded, then select “Install now”.
  6. You software will be installed. After the software is installed, your phone will re-start automatically.
  7. Your phone is now updated.
